Tenaja 2007 Spring Ordeal
In June, the Spring Ordeal was as it is every year … at Lost Valley. The Chapter worked hard at assembling the tent covers onto tent platforms at campsites. It was hard work but very rewarding and our council camp was very appreciative.

Our Chapter ceremony team was spectacular – lead by Alec and the Alexander brothers.

On July 14, Wiatava held a service protect to help clean up the lake front at Oso Lake. The area in front of the amphitheater was overgrown and access to the lake was blocked by trees with dead branches. With other members of Wiatava we trimmed the trees and created a trail down to the lake. Of the 17 contributors from Wiatava, 5 are from Tenaja!

Tenaja Helps Make Cub Day Camp 2008 a Success

Tenaja held 2 days of service projects to help prepare Cub Scout Day Camp 2007 at Las Flores. On Saturday July 21, John Wes, Will, Alec Toro, and Alex leveled a delivery of sand over the volleyball court. Afterwards, they help construct several trebushays. The trebushay was the ultimate artillery weapon of French medieval time.

On Sunday, the day before day camp opened, Kevin and Ian created a to scale rendering of approximately 40 islands in the South Pacific. Each island was identified by a sign and it a mound of dirt with beach around it.

On Thursday, the Tenaja dance team lead by Ian Alexander, Kevin and Matt, with Mr. Taylor and Mrs. Roach on the drum did an exhibition of dancing. Afterward they told the Story of the Arrow to the cub scouts.
